BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford's Raphael Bohli and Andres Leal picked up singles victories but it was the battle at #1 singles that gave UAB a 4-3 victory in men's tennis action at Samford Wednesday afternoon

UAB's Andre Merne defeated Samford's David Misner in the last match to be completed 3-6, 7-6, 6-3 to give the Blazers the narrow victory.

Samford (3-4) took the doubles point with wins by Misner and Bohli at #1 and Chuck Haddox and Leal at the #3 spot. UAB was able to capture four singles matches to even their spring record at 1-1.
