Football Holds Final Full Practice For Jacksonville State

Nov. 1, 2007

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team practiced for a little over an hour in shorts and helmets Thursday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The practice was the Bulldogs' final practice for Saturday afternoon's game against in-state and Ohio Valley Conference rival Jacksonville State.

"We've had a good week of practice," Samford head coach Pat Sullivan. "We know we have to play as well as we can play if we are going to have a chance on Saturday. They are a good football team."

The Bulldogs spent Thursday's practice going over the game-plan for Saturday's game one final time.

"Today was just your normal shorts day," Sullivan said. "We were trying to cover all the different situations. It's late in the year, so we're just refreshing on everything."

Saturday's game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start from Seibert Stadium. The game can be heard live on the Samford Radio Network. The flagship station for the network is WVSU-FM 91.1.

The game can also be heard worldwide on the internet at www.al.com/wvsu, and it can be viewed on the internet at www.ovcsports.tv.
