Samford hits the road again for its ninth road game in its last 10. The Bulldogs are 4-8 and 0-1 in the Atlantic Sun after falling to Belmont on Saturday. Samford is trying to snap its longest losing streak in 12 years. Campbell returns home after dropping a pair of A-Sun road games at Jax State and Georgia State. The Camels are 3-8 and 0-2 in the league and are trying to break a five-game losing streak.

Belmont's Adam Sonn made a driving lay-up with 19 seconds to play and converted a free-throw to complete the three-point play to give Belmont a 52-51 victory over Samford on Saturday. Cornell Felton's last second three-pointer rimmed out giving Belmont its fourth straight victory over Samford by a combined 10 points and extend Samford's losing streak to six straight, the longest since the 1990-91 season. Jon Mills made his first start since Dec. 14, and finished with a team-high 11 points.

Tarrick Johnson leads Campbell and is fourth in the A-Sun in scoring averaging 17.5 ppg. Jonte' Edwards is averaging 13.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the Camels who are 3-8 on the year after dropping five straight games. Edwards was 8-9 from the floor for 16 points and had seven rebounds against Georgia State on Monday. Johnson has been the Camels leading scorer in six of their 11 games. He was the A-Sun Player of the Week on Dec. 23, and posted four-straight 20+ scoring games in December. The Camels are shooting 46 percent from the floor, 37 percent from long range, and 72 percent from the stripe this season. Campbell is last in the A-Sun in rebounding grabbing just 25.2 boards per game. All three of Campbell's wins this season have been at Carter Gym where the Camels are 3-1.

Samford leads the all-time series against Campbell 11-5 but most of those wins have come in Birmingham where the Bulldogs are 7-1 against the Camels. In Buies Creek, Samford is just 3-3. The Camels won last year's meeting in Carter Gym 56-53 while Samford won at Seibert Hall 69-55. The Bulldogs last win in N.C. was on Jan. 22, 2001 when Samford defeated Campbell 76-61. The first meeting in the series was actually played in Angier, N.C. on Feb. 10, 1979. Campbell won that meeting 88-73.
