BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford's baseball series scheduled for this weekend has been postponed one extra day. The Bulldogs and Bruins were supposed to begin their series Friday night, but rain kept the two teams from meeting.

The teams will still play Saturday's doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. and will play the final game of the series Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

Samford is still in the hunt for the final spot in the conference tournament. The Bulldogs need to sweep Belmont and hope Mercer, Georgia St. and Campbell all lose games.
