NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Samford cheerleaders finished third at the NCA Cheer Camp hosted by Vanderbilt University Aug. 3-5.

The competition started with 15 squads, and based on their performance, the top five teams advanced to the competition finals.

The squads competed in two areas, fight song and game-day cheer. With its third-place finish, Samford earned a bid to the NCA College Nationals, scheduled for Apr. 5-9 in Daytona, Fla.
