FAIRFIELD, CT (November 14, 2005) - Junior Brenda Bailey (Costa Mesa, CA) was named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car / Sacred Heart Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 7th through 13th.

Bailey helped lead the Pioneers to their first-ever spot in next weekend's Northeast Conference Tournament. The junior captain came up with a huge game in a must-win situation against St. Francis (NY) Sunday evening. Bailey posted 20 kills and hit .250 in the match to lead SHU to a three-game sweep over the Terriers. She added six service aces and eight digs to her game totals. She leads the team with 286 kills and 33 service aces this year.

The Pioneers will take on the #4 seeded Central Connecticut Blue Devils at 10 am on Saturday, November 19th at host Long Island.
