Final Stats

LORETTO, PA (October 23, 2005) - The Sacred Heart women's volleyball team evened the Northeast Conference record at 2-2 with a three-game sweep at St. Francis (PA) sunday afternoon.

The Pioneers posted wins of 30-27, 30-22 and 30-22 to earn the victory and improve to 5-15 overall.

Junior captain Brenda Bailey (Costa Mesa, CA) lead the team with a match-high 13 kills. As a team, SHU posted 31 kills in the match.

Senior Heather Brooks (Regina, SK) had an errorless game hitting from the middle. She finished with eight kills in 15 attempts, with not one error. Whe also came up big with five total blocks.

Two other Pioneers posted double figures in digs in sophomore Samantha McMillan (Manassas, VA) and senior Michelle Clarke (Baltimore, MD) with 10 apiece. Clarke also passed out 29 assists in runing the SHU offense.

Sacred Heart returns to the court next Saturday, October 29th when they travel out of conference to face Manhattan on the the road.
