Final Stats

The Sacred Heart women's volleyball team lost in three games Wednesday night at Providence College. The Friars posted wins of 30-27, 30-24 and 30-17 to drop the Pioneers to 4-13 on the year.

Senior Brenda Bailey (Costa Mesa, CA) led SHU with 11 kills, five digs and two service aces. Freshman Katie Thomas (Wappingers Falls, NY) led the team defensively with 17 digs while fellow freshman Lynne Principio (Ardsley, NY) had 10.

Providence, 4-18, got a match-best 18 kills from Allison Baker to go along with 10 digs. Annie Fiorvant made 16 digs and passed out 30 assists to lead the offense.

The Pioneers are back on the court this Saturday, October 15th when the host Central Connecticut in a Northeast Conference match at 2:00 pm.
