The Sacred Heart track & field teams took home another set of Northeast Conference weekly awards with senior Evan Lasher (Pleasant Valley, NY) and juniors Arman Dixon (Beacon, NY) and Marsha Locke (Danbury, CT) taking home the honors.

Dixon won the 200 meter dash in 21.23 seconds at Yale, earning NEC Track Athlete of the Week. He also set a second school record in the 4x400m relay by running the fastest 400 split in school history (46.4). Heading into this weekend's NEC Championship, Dixon is undefeated, having won all nine individual events, and all four relays he has entered this season.

Lasher, the NEC Field Athlete of the Week, took the weight throw this weekend at Yale for SHU, with an IC4A qualifying mark of 55' 2 3/4", and followed that up with an IC4A qualifying win in the shot of 53' 0". It was the third time this season that Lasher swept the throwing events in a meet.

SHU's Locke won the shot put at Dartmouth with a school-record breaking mark of 47' 7 1/4", earning NEC Field Athlete of the Week honors. Locke went on to win the weight throw with a toss of 53' 11 1/4". The throw bests the record by nearly two feet.
