Full ITA Northeast Regional Results

HANOVER, N.H. (October 23, 2006) - The Sacred Heart women's tennis wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule this past weekend with senior Pam Pillo (Shelton, CT) picking up a win in the singles draw of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional at Dartmouth College.

Pillo advanced to the second round of the singles draw by defeating Pascaline Cette of UMBC to post the first win at the event by a SHU athlete. Pillo dropped the first set, 6-2, but rebounded with 6-2, 6-1 wins to take the match. Pillo was ousted in the next round by the #14 seed, Janet Kim of Yale, 6-0, 6-0.

Pillo teamed up with sophomore Nicole Betz (Long Beach, NY) in the ITA doubles draw but lost in the opening round, 8-0, to the team of Michal Amir and Maggie MacKeever of the University of Maryland.
