FAIRFIELD, CT - Sacred Heart University softball coach Bippy Luckie announced today that long-time assistant Pam London has been promoted to Co-Head Coach and has joined the Pioneer program on a full-time basis.

London has been with Pioneers as a coach for for 18 years. Prior to that she and Luckie anchored the middle of the Pioneer infield as undergraduates. London was a three-year starter at second base from 1984-86 and appeared in two NCAA Division II Final Fours. During her tenure as a player, she and Luckie led the Pioneers to an incredible 89-12 record.

As associate head coach the last several seasons, London has been in charge of recruiting for the program and will continue that this year.

"Pam has been an integral part of our softball program and I'm thrilled that she has finally been rewarded for her dedication and commitment," says Luckie. "I'm honored that we will be co-head Coaches of the SHU softball team."
