PRINCETON, N.J. (September 23, 2007) - Sacred Heart senior Patricia Heyes (Durobin, Ontario) shot an 80 during Sunday's final round of play as the Pioneers finished 12th overall at the 2007 Princeton Invitational at the Springdale Golf Course. SHU shot a two-day score of 683, knocking five strokes off their tally on day two.

Heyes finished tied for 35th overall with a 165 (85-80), cutting five strokes off her round one score on Sunday at the par 72, 6,108 yard course.

Just behind Heyes was junior Jennifer Tierney (Danbury, CT) who finished tied for 40th with a score of 166 (82-84). Junior Joanne Martorana (Randolph, NJ) shed four strokes off her first 18-holes, shooting an 86 on Sunday.

The host Tigers won their annual event, posting an 11-stroke win over Columbia with a 614 (301-313).

The Pioneers return to the links next weekend at the Yale Invitational at the Yale University Golf Course.
