2007 Dartmouth Invitational Results

HANOVER, N.H. - The Sacred Heart women's golf team got an 11th place finish from junior Jennifer Tierney (Danbury, CT) to finish fifth at the Dartmouth College Invitational over the weekend. The Pioneers shot a two-day score of 659 (325-334), two strokes behind Hartford and three behind the host Big Green.

The 36-hole event was played at the Hanover Country Club on the 5,805 yard, par 72 course. Tierney shot a 78 on day one and an 81 on the final day of play to come in 11th in the field of 72 golfers.

Fellow junior Joanne Martorana (Randolph, NJ) was tied for 23rd overall with a two-day score of 165 (82-83). Senior Patrica Heyes (Durobin, Ontario) finished tied for 27th (84-82=166) and junior Jillian Nery (New Bedford, MA) finished tied for 32nd (81-88=169)

Freshman Taylor Zweifel (Keller, TX), playing in her first collegiate event, rebounded from a day one 90 to shoot an 83 on her second 18-holes Sunday.

The Pioneers will play in the Princeton Invitational this Saturday and Sunday at the Springdale Golf Course.
