Fairfield, CT - Pioneer junior midfielder Colleen Carney (Yorktown Heights, NY) was selected to the 2005 STX/NFHCA Division I All-Region second team for the Mid-East Region.

Carney was second on the Pioneers with 22 points. She scored seven goals and was tied for the team lead with eight assists. Carney scored several key goals, including the one that ultimately won the Pioneers the Northeast Conference Championship game against Rider on October 29th. She was named to the NEC All-Tournament team as well as the All-NEC second team.

Carney and the Pioneers finished the season 11-10 overall. They won their first ever NEC field hockey championship before falling to Richmond in the NCAA play-in game.
