Final Stats

Fairfield, CT - Junior Carisa Eye (Nesconset, NY) tallied two goals and an assist to lead Sacred Heart to a 3-0 victory over Saint Francis (PA) in field hockey action Sunday at DeGol Field. The win snapped a four game losing streak for the Pioneers and was SHU's first Northeast Conference win of the season.

Eye got the Pioneers started at the 28:24 mark with an unassisted tally. Two minutes into the second half, she set up senior Danielle Vasely (Hopewell Junction, NY) for a goal that made it 2-0 Sacred Heart. Eye netted her second of the day off a feed from sophomore Brie Mallon (New Fairfield, CT) with 17:26 left in the game to seal it for the Pioneers. Eye now has a team leading 10 goals on the season.

The Pioneers are back in action Wednesday when they visit cross-town rival Fairfield in non-conference action. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.
