The Storyline... The Storyline... The top-seeded Sacred Heart Pioneers will take on the fifth-seeded Long Island Blackbirds in Northeast Conference Tournament Semifinal action Tuesday night in the William H. Pitt Center. This is the fourth time the Pioneers and Blackbirds have met in the postseason with LIU having knocked SHU out twice. The Pioneers had an impressive debut in this year's tournament with an 83-55 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, running their winning streak to eight-straight and 13 in-a-row at home this season. The Blackbirds were equally impressive, winning on the road at Monmouth 80-70, their highest offensive output this year. Not only did they shoot 50.0%, LIU had just two turnovers in the win.
