FAIRFIELD, Conn. (Feburary 26, 2007) - Sacred Heart senior Amanda Pape (Stamford, CT) was named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car / Sacred Heart Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 19th through 24th.

Pape piled up three double doubles this week to guide the Pioneers to a 3-0 week with the regular season winding down and the battle for playoff positioning center stage. The senior forward averaged 23.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals while hitting 40.0% (6-15) from behind the arc this week. Pape started the seven day run with 28 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks as SHU posted a 68-56 win over the Mount. On Wednesday, Pape was honored with her fellow seniors on "Senior Night" and promptly help deliver a 73-53 runaway win over rival Quinnipiac with 25 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals. The senior capped her sensational week by leading SHU to a 16-point second half comeback win at Monmouth, a game played live on Fox Sports-New York. Pape scored 21, pulled down 10 boards, six offensive, had three assists and two steals and was named the NEC Player of the Game for her efforts. Pape's three double dips extended her streak to four straight. She has also now taken over sole possession of third place on the NEC All-time Scoring list with 1,954 career points as she looks to close in on 2,000, possibly in tournament play.

Pape and the Pioneers close the regular season at Quinnipiac Tuesday night.
