Fairfield, CT - Freshman Michael Syer (Ontario, CA) has been named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car/Sacred Heart University Student-Athlete of the week for the week of September 17-23.

Syer won a pair of number two singles matches over the weekend to help lead the Pioneers past Robert Morris and Adelphi. He beat Nick Paganetti of Robert Morris in straight sets and then hung on for a three set win over Adelphi's Nick Sanchez. Syer is unbeaten in singles action on the year.

The Pioneer men's tennis team will compete at the UConn Tennis Invitational this weekend.
