US Sports Camps, operator of Nike Golf Schools and Junior Camps, along with Great River Golf Club, and Sacred Heart University's Golf Program has announced a partnership to run a junior resident Golf Camp.

The mission of the camp will be to provide athletes the tools to improve and to enjoy the sport of golf for life. Nike Golf Schools and Junior Camps, Great River Golf Club, and Sacred Heart University aspire to aid in the development of participants by improving on their natural talents with the goal of maximizing their potential.

Tom Rosati, PGA Member and Head Golf Professional at Great River Golf Club, will oversee instruction of this Nike Jr. Golf Schools and Junior Camp. Tom is also the Director of Instruction for the Sacred Heart University Pioneers, in which under his tutelage, has established the framework to be recognized as one of the top men and women's programs in the Northeast. "This is a tremendous opportunity for Great River Golf Club and me to give back to this wonderful game and bring along the next generation."

Jamie P. Romeo, Sacred Heart University's Director of Golf Operations, will lead the operations of the program. Jamie, who has over ten years of experience in the camp industry, is excited about the partnership opportunity with the two first-class organizations. "US Sports Camps has been at this for 26 years; combine that expertise with Tom Rosati and Great River Golf Club...all I can say is that we are fortunate to have partnered with two industry leaders and this is just another step in the right direction for our program."

The camp will have a student to teacher ratio of 5:1 and be limited to 40 students. Combine the top-notch instruction, with Great River Golf Club's facility, which boast one of the largest all-turf practice facilities in CT (including 2-tiered grass tee areas on the range and an extensive short game practice area), makes this program a can't miss. In case of inclement weather, the facility also has a state-of-the-art Indoor Learning Center. Great River is a beautiful and challenging Golf course that offers five sets of tees...with the front nine weaving through wooded terrain and the back exhibiting a links style course.

"The philosophy of Tom Rosati and the facilities of Great River and Sacred Heart University will make this camp a success." Marc Haddad, Vice President of Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps said. "We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship."
