WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 27, 2007) - The Sacred Heart men's golf team wrapped up their first event of the spring season Tuesday afternoon, placing 17th at the William & Mary Invitational. The Pioneers shot a two-day score of 611 (301-310) on the par 71 Plantation Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia in the 21 team field.

Freshman Adam Petrasovic (Tecumseh, Ontario) was the Pioneer's top finisher with a 74 on day one and a 76 on day two to tie for 28th place overall in the field of 111 golfers. Junior Patrick Fillian (Tinton Falls, NJ) finished tied for 33rd with a 74 and 77 over the two days.

Campbell University won the event with a two-day score of 575 (279-296).

The Pioneers will take part in the Monmouth Hawk Invitational at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, New Jersey on April 1st and 2nd.
