2006-07: Set a new career high with six boards against North Carolina. Tied that mark against Yale on 12/4 and also set a new career scoring high with 12 points....Set a career-high with 28 minutes at UConn on 11/29....Blocked a career-high six shots against Mount St. Mary's on 2/15. 2005-06: Played in 25 of 28 games in his rookie season. Had a career-high five rebounds and seven points at Boston College on 12/3.
High School: Attended Healing Comprehensive School and lettered in soccer, basketball and track and field. Achieved high academic honors for four years. Prep School: Averaged eight points and eight boards for head coach A. Scott Williard in one year of prep school. Willard says of Potter "After at Tilton from England, it took Liam a few months to become acclimated to the faster up-tempo brand of basketball in the U.S. Once comfortable with it, Liam was able to compete against some of the top prep teams in the country. He became very proficient in blocking shots, securing rebounds, and becoming a threat as the trailer on our break."
Personal: Son of Donald and Valerie Potter. Has one brother, Ross. Undecided on a major. Favorite sports teams are the Phoenix Suns and the Arsenal soccer team from London. Favorite athlete is Amare Stoudamire of the Phoenix Suns. Favorite book is The DaVinci Code and favorite movie is Man on Fire. Favorite food is steak and mushrooms with French fries. Would love to have dinner with his granddad "so I could tell him everything I have accomplished since I last saw him." Hopes to play professionally in Europe after graduation.
