FAIRFIELD, CT - The Sacred Heart Pioneers will travel an hour north on Friday to take on Central Connecticut State University in a doubleheader beginning at noon. The Pioneers have already clinched their first-ever spot in the post-season NEC Tournament, while the Blue Devils still have an outside shot at the tournament if they can sweep the Pioneers in the three-game series.

The Pioneers will likely need to win two of the three games between Friday and Saturday to have a chance to finish in first place and gain the #1 seed for the tournament. The NEC Tournament begins on May 20 in Lakewood, NJ.
