FAIRFIELD, CT - Junior baseball player Jeff Hanson (Woodstock, NY) has been named the Enterprise Rent-a-Car/Sacred Heart University Student Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 22.

Hanson led a four game sweep of Long Island that lifted the Pioneers into second place in the standings with an 8-3 league mark. The junior hit .625 (10-16) with a homer, four doubles and eight RBI in five games. He was 8-12 in the series against LIU, driving in six runs. Hanson blasted his fourth homer of the year against Manhattan on Tuesday, and had two hits in each game on the week.

The Pioneers are now 17-17 overall, the latest the team has been at the .500 mark in the Division I era.
