Women's Crew Kicks-Off Season at Fall Regatta

FOSTER CITY, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's rowing team kicked off its fall season on Sunday at the Fall Regatta, hosted by the Bair Island Aquatic Center in Foster City, Calif.

The SCU women's four, which consisted of a sophomore-only line-up, placed third in a time of 24:18.4. In the pairs race, the Broncos three pairs swept the top spots as Erin Hussey and Alison Fleck won the race in a time of 26:15.5.

Overall, I was very pleased with the team's performance today," said head coach Stephanie Shepherd. "We placed well at the regatta but we still have room for improvement before the start of our season in March."
