Named to preseason "watch list" for Buck Buchanan Award, presented annually to the top defensive player in the FCS... His average of 1.19 TFL/game in 2009 is tops among CAA Football returning players. 2009: Second Team All-CAA Football... Finished 13th overall in the voting for the 2009 Buck Buchanan Award... First Team All-America by College Sporting News... Second Team All-America by Sports Network... Started all 13 games... Terrorized opposing backfields by amassing 75 tackles, including team-highs in TFL (15.5), sacks (6.5) and QB hurries (10)... Posted a TFL in 10 of the 13 games, including career-bests with 4.0 TFL and 2.0 sacks in the win at Maine... His TFLs in the Maine victory accounted for 14 lost yards... Was tabbed CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 23 after leading the Richmond defense in a 13-10 win over William & Mary... Posted six tackles, a sack and accounted for three of the Spiders seven QB hurries, which forced W&M QB R.J. Archer into quick throws and his first sub-50 percent completion percentage of the season (17-of-36) and his first two-interception game... It was also the Tribe's lowest point total since 2007... Parker had a season-high 12 tackles in the VMI win, posted 10 versus Maine and eight against Villanova... His forced fumble of James Madison QB Justin Thorpe was recovered by Eric McBride at the Richmond six-yard line with a minute left to seal the Spiders' 21-17 with the Dukes driving late in the game. 2008: Played in all 16 games and made 15 starts at defensive tackle on the Spiders' defensive line that was among the best units in the FCS... He finished the season with eight TFL and four sacks to rank fourth on the team in each, along with his 56 tackles. 2007: Enjoyed a solid rookie season by starting all 14 games at tackle... Finished with 61 tackles, including nine TFL that was ranked second on the team... His 15 stops in the Delaware game was one off the Spiders' season-high last year (16 by McBride vs. URI)... Also had a sack and forced a fumble in the Delaware win... Recovered three fumbles on the season, including one each in the NCAA Quarterfinals at Wofford and the NCAA Semifinals at Appalachian State... His season high of three tackles for loss came in the win over William & Mary. 2006: Redshirted. High School: Was a three-year starter and four-year letterwinner in football... Was an All-Area second team selection, after serving as captain this past season... Earned Third Team All-State honors... Picked as an All-Conference and All-Division performer... Was twice awarded the Linemaster Award at Hyde Leadership School... Named a Scholar Athlete as a senior... Recorded 45 tackles, 2.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries as a senior... Also returned one of the fumble recoveries 42 yards for a touchdown.
