    2008: Started all 16 games at SS in 2008, finishing the season with four of his five career interceptions... His 90 tackles were the third-most on the team... Made a career-high 16 tackles in the James Madison game... Had a key interception of QB Armanti Edwards in the Appalachian State game with the Mountaineers driving and Richmond leading 23-13 in the fourth quarter (the Spiders kicked a FG on the ensuing drive)... His career-high of two TFL came at Virginia.

    2007: Played in all 14 games as a back-up to senior safeties Stephen Howell and Andrew Harris... Came up with one of the biggest plays of Richmond's season by batting down the pass of Delaware's Joe Flacco in the end zone on the final play of the fifth overtime, sealing an epic 62-56 win for the Spiders... That was one of three passes he broke up in the game... Made his second career start in the NCAA Semifinals at Appalachian State in place of the injured Howell... Recorded a career-high 10 tackles against the Mountaineers... His previous best was eight stops at Delaware... In Richmond's defensive-minded 21-10 win over Wofford in the NCAA Quarterfinals, he had six tackles, recovered a fumble and picked off a pass... The fumble recovery came at the one-yard line after a bad snap on a punt and the Spiders were in the drivers' seat by scoring a play later.

    2006: Saw action in nine games... Scooped up a blocked punt against Northeastern and returned it nine yards for a touchdown in a 12-7 victory... Made a career high five tackles against VMI.

    2005: Redshirted.

    High School: Earned All-County First Team as a defensive back and Second Team as quarterback and punter... Earned All-County First Team also as a junior... Two-time All-Conference on defense... Team captain... Team MVP following senior season... Also earned letters in basketball, lacrosse and track.

    Personal: Son of Timothy and Andrea Ireland... Born Sept. 25, 1986... His father played basketball at Southern Cal.
