Colorado Springs, Co., February 14, 2002Ross Thatcher, a 2000 Nittany Lion All-American, won the 96 kg weight class in the Greco-Roman division of the fourth annual Dave Schultz Memorial International Tournament Feb. 10, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Thatcher posted four wins to claim the victory in the international competition. He downed Deon Hicks of the United States, 5-1; R.C. Johnson of the U.S., 8-3; and John Groundwater, 8-1, in pool competition. He then advanced to the final where he dropped pool two winner Chris Moen of the U.S., 7-1, for the victory
