Taylor, Costanzo Named to College Soccer News All-Freshman Teams

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Jan. 4, 2005) - Penn State men's soccer players Conrad Taylor (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Richard Costanzo (Jefferson Hills, Pa.) were recognized as two of the best freshmen in the country as College Soccer News selected them to its 2004 All-Freshman Teams.

Taylor was selected to the publication's first team as a goalkeeper, while Costanzo was honored as a second team midfielder.

Taylor led the Nittany Lions to a 10-4-8 record this past season with eight shutouts and a 1.02 goals against average, while playing every minute in net. He was previously selected to Top Drawer Soccer's All-Freshman first team. He was named a member of the Big Ten all-Freshman team as well.

Costanzo finished third in scoring for Penn State this past season with four goals and 15 points from his midfield position. He was named the Big Ten's Freshman of the Year, as well as being selected to Top Drawer Soccer's All-Freshman second team.
