NITTANY LIONS ON THE AIR: The radio and internet broadcast schedule for Penn State baseball was finalized recently and Nittany Lion fans have reason to celebrate as 30 of the next 36 Nittany Lion games will be aired via the radio and/or internet.
A total of 29 Penn State games will be aired live on State College's WMAJ 1450 AM or WKPS 90.7 FM, while the complete 30-game broadcast package will be available via the internet at www.GoPSUsports.com and/or www.pennlive.com/wmaj.
The Nittany Lions radio/webcast schedule begins this week as State College's WMAJ 1450 AM is slated to broadcast the complete four-game series this weekend (March 23-25) at Indiana. Penn State (6-14) is scheduled to battle the Hoosiers (11-5) in a single game on Friday at 3:00 p.m., before wrapping up the four-game set with a double header Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and a single contest Sunday at 12:00 p.m. The series marks the beginning of the Big Ten Conference schedule for both schools.
The only remaining Penn State baseball contests which are not scheduled for broadcast are April 4 at Cornell and May 11-13 versus Michigan State.

LOCAL TALENT CONNECTION: The Penn State baseball squad boasts a total of six players from the Centre Region, including four graduates of State College Area High School. Senior Dan McCall, juniors Chris Wright and Jason McIntyre along with true-freshman Aaron Tressler each played for the Little Lions prior to joining the Nittany Lion squad.
In addition, PSU freshman Matt Harter attended Penns Valley High School in Centre Hall and was coached former PSU baseball player Keith Ripka.
Also PSU junior reliever Mike Watson also played in the Central Pennsylvania Baseball league while attending Altoona Area High School.
