A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, Jim graduated in December with a degree in secondary education and is now taking graduate courses.

Summer:
Played for the Winchester Royals of the Valley League, appearing in 20 games and getting 10 hits in 47 at bats....Drew eight walks and struck out just four times and had a .339 on base percentage.

2006 (Junior):
Finished fifth on the team in hitting at .298....Had more walks than strikeouts (14-11)....Had 10 multiple-hit games....Put together a career-best eight-game hitting streak....Was a very valuable utility player, as he started 17 games at DH, the most of any player on the team, and also started 13 times at second base....Also went 2-for-3 as a pinch hitter, tied for the most pinch hits on the team....Hit .317 (13-for-41) with runners in scoring position....Drew two walks in a game three times....Greatly improved his fielding percentage from last year by making only one error on the year in 66 total chances for a .985 fielding percentage....Named Academic All-Big Ten. Singled in win at Delaware (3/19); Singled, doubled, scored two runs and had and RBI in win over Bucknell (3/30); Went 2-for-4 with runs scored, two RBIs and a SAC in win at Purdue (4/3); Walked, singled, doubled and scored two runs in win over Pittsburgh (4/6); Doubled and scored two runs in win at Northwestern (4/10); Recorded RBI double in win over Norfolk State (4/20 Game 1); Went 2-for-3 with two RBIs at Iowa (4/23 Game 2); Went 2-for-4 at Iowa (4/24); Collected six hits, scored four runs,and drove in six runs with four doubles and three walks in four-game series vs. Ohio State (5/7-9); Named to the Academic All-Big Ten team.

2004 (Freshman):
Batted 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI in win against Norfolk State (2/28); Walked and stole a base scoring a run versus Richmond (3/20); Batted 1-for-3 with a run against Bucknell (3/23); Hit 1-for-2 driving in an RBI versus Cornell (2) (3/30); Went 1-for-3 with 2 RBI and one run in game 2 against Purdue (4/3); Scored a run against St. Bonaventure (4/7); Batted 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk versus Northwestern (4/9); Went 2-for-5, hitting his first double of the season and scoring a run in game 1 versus Northwestern (4/10); Batted 1-for-3 in game 2; Went 1-for-2 and drove in two RBI on a double against Iowa in game 2 (4/24); Singled, doubled and scored twice in win at Illinois (5/2); Had a career high three hits in loss at Villanova (5/12); Went 2-for-2 with an RBI in win versus Michigan State (5/15)....Named Academic All-Big Ten.
