New York, N.Y., May 27, 2005 - Penn State senior Jaret Campisi (Enola, Pa.) continued his strong running Friday at the NCAA East Regional in Randall's Island, N.Y., as he posted the second best time of the day to move onto to the finals of the 400-meter hurdles. Campisi, who won a BigTen title in the event two weeks ago, posted a time of 50.52 and will compete in the finals on Saturday. Other Penn State athletes in action on Friday included Big Ten javelin champion Bret Kershner who finished sixth in the javelin with a career-best throw of 218-6. Steve Meyers finished 8th in the discus with a career-best mark of 171-5. On the track, Matt Lincoln finished 18th in the 1,500 meters in 3:51.28, while Ron Jules was 24th in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.42. Ernie Terrell was 17th (47.67) and Chris Lolagne 22nd (48.10) in the 400 meters. Competition continues Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m.
