AMHERST, MA. -- The Providence College volleyball team was defeated at UMass Amherst, 3-0, on Tuesday, October 23.

Senior outside hitter Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) led the Friars with 14 kills in the loss and teammate Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) added 12 kills.

The Friars close out the home portion of their schedule this weekend when they host Syracuse University on Saturday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. in PC's Alumni Hall and Notre Dame on Sunday, October 28 at 12 noon in PC's Alumni Hall.
