The Providence College men's and women's outdoor track teams traveled to Hanover, N.H. on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 to run in the New England Championships at Dartmouth College. Sophomore Richard Yeates (Dublin, Ireland) led the men's team with a second place finish in the 5,000 meters. Freshman Krystal Douglas (Harpswell, Maine) led the women's team with a fifth place finish in the 5,000 meters.

Yeates ran the 5,000 meters in 14:35.17. Junior James Lourenco (West Warwick, R.I.) placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:51.48. Sophomore Charles Dewey (Worcester, Mass.) finished the same race in fifth in a time of 1:52.74.Senior Nick Weidman (Sudbury, Mass.) placed fifth in the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:50.31. Douglas completed the 5,000 meters in a time of 17:22.42.
