NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Providence College men's and women's outdoor track teams competed at the IC4A/ECAC Championship on May 14-16 in New Haven, Conn.

Senior Brooke Freeburg (Waterford, Pa.) led the women's team at the ECAC Championship as she finished third in the javelin with a throw of 46.49 meters. Sophomore Jane Nalder (Wellington, New Zealand) finished fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:29.79. In the 1,5000 meter finals, sophomore Fiona Crombie (Christchurch, New Zealand) placed fourth (4:26.08) and junior Deirdre Byrne (Avoca, Ireland) finished fifth (4:27.24).

On the men's side in the IC4A Championship, junior Pat Moulton (Pelham, N.H.) placed seventh in the 5,000 meters in a time of 14:14.57. In the 3,000 meter steeplechase, freshman Darren Brown (Spring, Texas) placed ninth (9:09.39).
