FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Junior Roisin McGettigan (Wicklow, Ireland) and senior Hamish Thorpe (Auckland, New Zealand) represented the Providence College men's and women's indoor track team at the 2002 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship, on March 9 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

McGettigan earned a fifth-place finish in the mile with a time of 4:42.95. Thorpe finished 13th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:08.78.

The Friars will begin the outdoor track season at the Raleigh Relays on March 29th and 30th, in Raleigh, N.C.
