The Providence College men's and women's indoor track teams competed at the Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University, on Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27. The Friar men's squad was led by senior Martin Fagan (Mullingar, Ireland), who captured the 3,000 meters, while graduate student Aine Hoban (Wakefield, England) led the women's squad with a first place finish in the 5,000 meters. Sophomore Charlie Dewey (Worcester, Mass.) set a new school record in the men's 400 meters with a time of 48.47 surpassing the previous mark of 49.5 that has stood since 1951.

Fagan ran the 3,000 meters in a time of 7:55.06. Junior Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) ran the mile in a time of 4:00.23 taking second place.

Hoban won the 5,000 meters in a time of 16:08.63. Sophomore Katie DiCamillo (Garden City, N.J.) placed fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:26.61. Senior Meghan Owen (Danielson, Conn.) took a third place finish in the 1,000 meters with a run time of 2:54.91.

Both the men's and women's teams are back in action on Monday, February 5, 2007 at the Boston University Quad Meet.
