Kelli Halcisak Named First Team All-American
March 29, 2004 It was announced on Saturday, March 27 that Providence College senior defender Kelli Halcisak (Grosse Ile, Mich.) was named a 2003-2004 American Hockey Coaches Association First Team All-American. Halcisak earned the honor for her strong play throughout the season and her ability to influence the outcome of a game. She led the Friars in scoring this season with career-highs in goals (20) and points (46) points, making her second in scoring among the nation's defenders. Halcisak, who also earned HOCKEY EAST Second Team All-Star honors, All-Tournament Team honors and Tournament Most Valuable Player honors, is the first Friar defender to be named a two-time All-American. Kelli is the daughter of Tom and Anne Halcisak.
