PROVIDENCE, R.I. (February 28, 2005) -- Providence College freshman forward Rachel Crissy (Naperville, Ill.) was named Women's HOCKEY EAST Rookie of the Week on February 28, 2005.

Crissy earned the honor for her two timely goals in the Friars' weekend against No. 8 New Hampshire. On Saturday, February 26, Crissy netted her first career game-tying goal in the 3-3 tie at Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H. On Sunday, February 27 Crissy posted her seventh goal and third game-winner of the season that lifted Providence over New Hampshire, 4-3, at Schneider Arena in Providence, R.I. Crissy is tied in fourth in the league with three game-winning goals and leads the Friar freshman class with 12 points (seven goals, five assists).

Providence will conclude its regular season with a home-and-home series against Northeastern on Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6 at 2:00 p.m.
