The Providence College women's ice hockey team climbed on spot to No. 8 this week in the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll and in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll. The Friars, went 3-0 last week with a 4-3 victory over cross-town rival Brown on Wednesday, February 12 and a weekend sweep of Quinnipiac, 4-1 and 7-1.

The top seven teams in both polls stayed the same this week while eight through 10 reshuffled. Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth, Minnesota and Dartmouth hold on to the top four spots. New Hampshire, St. Lawrence, Wisconsin stayed steady at five through seven, while Providence and Mercyhurst each climbed one to eight and nine, respectively. Princeton fell two spots to round out the top ten.

Providence plays its last two home games of the season this weekend as the Friars host No. 5 New Hampshire on Saturday, February 22 and Maine on Sunday, February 23 at Schneider Arena. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
