As a Freshman: Stepped into the starting role as the Friars' goalkeeper...Started all 19 games and played a total of 1317:36 minutes...Made 110 saves and allowed 53 goals...Registered a 2.82 goals against average and a 0.675 save percentage...Recorded a season-high 17 saves vs. Northeastern on September 4, 2005.

In High School: Four-year letterwinner and starter in field hockey at Lakeland High School...Also competed in softball, lacrosse and cheerleading...Captained the field hockey team as a senior...Two-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) First-Team All-American for High School (2003, 2004)...Two-time New York State Public High School All-State selection (2003, 2004)...Four-year High School Scholar Athlete...Participated at the U.S. Junior Olympics in 2002 and 2003...Competed at the U.S. National Futures Tournament in each of the last four years (2002-2005)...Led her team to a 74-9-1 record as the team's goalkeeper...Guided team to New York Class A State Championship in 2003...Registered 60 shut-out victories in her career...Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born May 4, 1987...Daughter of Greg and Eileen Scavelli...Has two brothers, Greg and John, and one sister, Shannon...Plans to major in biology...Becomes the first goalkeeper in Providence field hockey history to sign with the College after earning All-America honors in high school, and is just the seventh high school First-Team All-American all-time to attend Providence.
