BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College men's indoor track team finished in fourth-place out of 36 teams at the New England Championships on February 25-26 in Boston, Mass. The Friars had three individual champions and three second-place finishes.

Senior Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland) captured the 800 meters in a time of 1:50.53, while sophomore Darren Brown took the 1,000 meters in a time of 2:25.82 as both athletes qualified for the IC4A's.

In the 3,000 meters, Providence took the top three spots, led by senior Patrick Moulton (Pelham, N.H.), who ran a time of 8:17.25 to finish first. Junior Joe Dionne (Oshawa, Ontario) took second-place (8:19.06), while freshman Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) placed third-place (8:20.73). Moulton, Dionne and Haji each qualified for the IC4A's.

Freshman Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) placed second in the mile in a time of 4:09.45, while the distance medley relay team also placed second in a time of 10:03.87 to qualify for the IC4A's.
