Coach York and players answer questions prior to their matchup with Ohio State on Saturday.

Head Coach Jerry York:

Opening statement
"This is the time of year that a coach still wants to be coaching. I think we've brought a pretty good club to Providence. We've been up and down this year, but we've produced 23 wins, and the players have really improved. I feel good about our team and we have some good opponents here. Four teams from four different regions. OSU is paced by one of the better forwards in the nation in R.J. Umberger. The other match-up features the WCHA against the ECAC, so there's a real national flavor to this region. We're excited to be close to home."

"Right now we are intending to play all four lines. Especially if the goal is to get out of the region. The games are close together and, while the goal is to win the first game, all four teams want to get out of the region. You need depth to get out of the region. Anthony D'Arpino, A.J. Walker and Justin Dziama will see quality minutes tomorrow, up around eight or nine minutes of the game."

On playing close to home
It's always better for the student body, our band can make the trip, and we have alums in the area. Still, you have to play a hockey game and the key if you want to advance is solid hockey. I really feel good about the change we made to the NCAA Tournament. This way, there is a clear-cut regional winner and a better path to the Frozen Four."

Senior Captain Anthony D'Arpino:
"I'm pretty excited to be here. I know that all the guys are excited to start playing."

Junior Ty Hennes:
"Here at Boston College, we have high expectations locally and all around the country so we are excited to be back (in the NCAA Tournament)."

Junior Brett Peterson:
"We're excited to be here first and foremost. But our excitement ended the moment when we walked in the door. Our focus is on beating Ohio State."

On BC's defense facing larger forwards in the coming game(s)
"We are going to have our hands full. But it all comes down to position, proper positioning and being smart. All week we've stressed our defensive position in our zone."
