PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College Athletic Department has announced that there are no tickets remaining for the celebration to honor the 1987 Final Four Friars at the Providence Convention Center on Saturday, May 12. As a result, the Friar Athletic Department has put on sale 50 tickets for a VIP Cocktail Reception with the 1987 Final Four team on Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Westin Hotel. This will be a unique opportunity to meet some of the most influential people in college basketball.

The cocktail reception will be from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and celebrity guests will include Rick Pitino, Billy Donovan, Jim Boeheim, Dave Gavitt, Bill Raftery, Stu Jackson, Herb Sendek, Sean McDonough and members of the 1987 Friar team. There will be an open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres. Each ticket will cost $1,000 per person. All proceeds will go to the Friar Athletic Fund. For tickets, please call (401)865-2677.
