Providence College Holds Annual Fall Sports Letterwinner's Society Inductions

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College Associate Vice President for Athletics, Robert G. Driscoll, Jr., brought the fall sports season to a close with the annual Fall Sports Letterwinner's Society Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, December 5 at McPhail's in the Slavin Center on the campus of Providence College. Twenty-four student-athletes were inducted at the ceremony and represented men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's cross country, women's cross country and field hockey.

This year, the Friars enjoyed successful fall campaigns. The men's and women's cross country teams each qualified for the NCAA Championship, while the field hockey team advanced to the title game of the BIG EAST Championship. The men's soccer team earned an NCAA Tournament berth for an unprecedented third consecutive season. Danette Doetzel (cross country) and Ahmed Haji (cross country) each earned All-America honors.
