PC Athletics Holds Letter-Winner's Society Inductions
May 3, 2007 PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College Athletics Director Robert G. Driscoll inducted 53 student-athletes into the department's "Letter-Winner's Society" on Wednesday, May 2, 2007. The induction was comprised of student-athletes who participated in winter and spring sports at the College. The "Letter-Winner's Society" was introduced to the campus community on December 4, 2003 as Driscoll unveiled a new tradition with the first induction ceremony involving 67 athletes who participated in fall sports. During the ceremony, each student-athlete received a lettermen's jacket. The "Letter-Winner's Society" holds two inductions each academic year to honor student-athletes who have met the criteria to earn a lettermen's jacket. A specific criteria has been developed for each sport by the head coaches and athletic department administrators. 2007 SPRING INDUCTION CEREMONY - "Letter-Winner's Society"
