2000: Gina Bessolo led the Pittsburgh pitching staff with a career-best 1.96 ERA, and was second in wins with six on the year...struck out 66 batters...made 12 starts in 18 appearances...earned a career-high four shutouts...pitched seven innings and made a season-high nine strikeouts in a 2-0 Panther win over Robert Morris (4/19/00)...pitched 9.1 innings in a close extra-inning loss to St. John's (4/30/00).

1999: Was third in the conference with 164.0 innings pitched...pitched the final two innings for the Panther victory over Indiana at the 1999 Bama Bash, giving Pittsburgh its first-ever win...also pitched the Panthers to their first Big East win in school history, a 10-6 victory over Connecticut (4/25/99)...accumulated 10 strikeouts in the final game of the season in a 2-0 win over Youngstown State...had three shutouts for the season against Princeton, Cleveland State and Youngstown State...traveled with Atheletes in Action Softball to Zimbabwe and Venezuela to compete with the National Teams...participated in the Student Athlete Advisory Board and Athletes in Action at the University of Pittsburgh.
