PITTSBURGH-University of Pittsburgh head football coach Dave Wannstedt will provide guest analysis for FOX Sports' television coverage of the FedEx Orange Bowl on Jan. 2, 2007, in Miami, Fla.

Wannstedt will join hosts Chris Rose and Jimmy Johnson for pregame, halftime and postgame coverage of the 2007 Orange Bowl matchup featuring ACC champion Wake Forest and Big East champion Louisville.

This is not Wannstedt's first foray into football television analysis. Prior to becoming Pitt's head coach in December 2004, Wannstedt contributed to FOX's NFL coverage.

The guest analyst opportunity reunites Wannstedt with Johnson, a longtime friend and fellow coach dating back to their days at Pitt during the late 1970s. They went on to coach together on the collegiate level at Oklahoma State and the University of Miami, winning a national championship at Miami in 1987. The pair also served together in the NFL while with the Dallas Cowboys (guiding Dallas to a Super Bowl title during the 1992 season) and Miami Dolphins.

Johnson is now a fixture with FOX's NFL coverage. Rose has been the host of FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" since its premiere in 2001.
