Sophomore (2001): Joe Burger saw action in 13 contests and started five in the outfield...led all reserves with a .333 batting average...tallied five runs, one home run and a .524 slugging percentage in limited time...did not commit an error in 11 chances...started the final game of the Georgetown series, going 2-for-4 with one double and one run...was 2 of 3 versus Youngstown State with a stolen base...smacked his only long ball at Kent State, a two-run blast. Freshman (2000): Burger started 13 games in right field while playing 21 in his freshman campaign...hit his first career home run at Cincinnati (May 3)...went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs against Duquesne (April 13) and Cincinnati...hit a game-winning RBI-double in the bottom of the 11th inning to beat Cleveland State (April 18).
