Meghan Ramsey and Jennifer Stone Honored by Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette seniors Meghan Ramsey (Lakeville, Minn./Great Valley) and Jennifer Stone (Newtown, Pa./The George School) were named student-athletes of the year in women's soccer and field hockey, respectively, by the Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women.

Ramsey, a two-time All-Patriot League Second-Team selection, established new Lafayette records for matches started and played by starting all 73 matches of her four-year career. As a team captain in 2003, Ramsey led the Leopards in points (17) and assists (7) and tied for the team lead in goals (5). She was a CoSIDA Academic All-America Second-Team selection in 2003.

Stone, the 2003 Patriot League Player of the Year, was an All-America Second-Team choice by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association in 2003. Stone ranks second all-time in the Patriot League in points (135), goals (51) and assists (33). As a senior, Stone led the Patriot League in points (50) and goals (24).
