The news service I-AA.org selected nine Colgate University football players to its preseason all-Patriot League teams. I-AA.org also tabbed senior linebacker Tem Lukabu (Avenel, N.J.) preseason Defensive Player of the Year in the Patriot League.
First team selections were senior tight end John Frieser (Endwell, NY), senior defensive tackle Josh Sabo (White Oaks, PA), senior defensive tackle Mike Latek (Rochester, NY) and Lukabu.
On the second team Colgate had junior wide receiver Luke Graham (Hamilton, NY), senior offensive guard Marc Sclafani (Belmont, MA), defensive end Robert Hannah (Akron, OH) and strong safety Sean McCune (Hookstown, PA).
The final selection was junior Lane Schwarzberg (Winter Haven, FL), who was tabbed the first team placekicker.
The Raiders concluded last season 9-3, including a 6-1 mark in the Patriot League and their third Patriot League championship.
